To install DM, simply double click on the icon for the executable file (.exe) to run the installer. It's always safest to close any other applications open in Windows before continuing. You will be asked to agree to the Software Licence. If you accept, you will proceed to designate a location for Decision Maker to be installed on your hard drive. Having done that, the installation will proceed without further input. Afterward, Decision Maker can be launched from the Windows Start Menu, or by double-clicking on its' icon. On launching, DM will check for a valid device connection to see if your system is prepared for recording at the moment. If it's not, you can still proceed to use DM, as in the case where you wish to manually enter clips into an EDL, or Edit those from an existing EDL file that you load. |
