halom, ye lightly toasted humanoids. Cousin URL here with another slice of editorial content for you and yours during this festive season of NAB anticipation.

What's NewTek gonna unveil? Word has it: ..... okay word has it not. In fact, the tireless elves have been especially hush-hush over at the NewTek tree (it's near the Keebler tree, just go down 3 glades and take a left). So, we are left to our own speculative devices as to what new and magical doo-dads might materialize at NAB. After all, you'd think that by now NewTek has got the hots to heavily smite their "children" at Play by whippin' out........ oh,..... I donno.... maybe......:

Who knows? I sure don't. Sure would be cool though, wouldn't it?

In other news:

Only the shadow knows - and he ain't tellin'. After all these years the only thing I can ask is: Will somebody please buy the Amiga once and for all and then start making 'em all souped up nice for the '90s? And what about all that RISCy business I heard about back when Escom was the foster parent? Where's that whiz-bang little box with all the cross-platform compatability and the OS on the fly and stuff?

Oh well. Perhaps the little computer that could (if somebody had the money) will eventually find a homeland somewhere beyond Silicon Valley. A nice place (level, fruit trees, improvements already in, conveniently located near schools and shopping malls) where a person can go "Well look-a-that. There's a whole TV station in that thing - and it doesn't cost 100 G's" without somebody going "Yeah, but can you play DOOM on it?".......

Your suggestions are all in from last month's contest, and we have narrowed the list of possible New Names For This Here Magazine down to a scant 10 (from a field of nearly a hundred submissions). One of these 10 suggestions will henceforth and forever more be Our Name. But, it's up to YOU to choose which one it will be. That lucky individual who supplied the New Name which wins the most votes will win their very own copy of Corporate Video Backgrounds to rumple and fetish in the privacy of their own Edit Suite.

Remember as always, in the event that the winning Name cannot fulfill her duties as our Name, the runner-up will take her place.

Just kidding.
