SAN ANTONIO, March 2, 1998 - NewTek, manufacturer of industry-leading 3D animation and video production products, today announced Tim Jenison, the company's founder and chairman, will assume the position of interim president and CEO, succeeding Dwight Parscale. Mr. Parscale will be leaving to pursue other opportunities. Tim Jenison is considered the visionary force behind the desktop video revolution. Since founding NewTek in 1985, Jenison has led in the design of a series of ground-breaking products and has guided the company as it continues to pioneer innovative and affordable tools for computer-generated animation, video and film special effects. "NewTek creates products that not only reflect the company's entrepreneurial spirit, but that also empower users to become entrepreneurs themselves, said Jenison. " In 1997, NewTek achieved its highest sales year ever with a 46% growth rate for the year. NewTek will begin an executive search for a new president and CEO immediately. The company will seek a technology executive with established industry knowledge and demonstrated experience in high growth companies.
