Help Balloons Not Working?
|
|
|
If you are having trouble with the Help windows appearing in Aura 2, make sure to check your Taskbar settings. If you have it set
to "AutoHide", the help windows will not work correctly. They will just seem to keep flashing on and off. Turn the "AutoHide" option off and all will be fine!"
NOTE: Go to the Start Menu, go to Settings and select "TaskBar & Start Menu". Then check the "AutoHide" button.
Thanks to Kevin Olson for the much needed tip!

If you own any of the AuraFX volumes, and you already know how they work, then you probably don't need those
message boxes coming up asking if you need instructions every time, right? Well here is the way to disable them.
Load up WordPad or a similar text editor and go to the George directory in Aura. Look inside and you will see a "VI"
drawer and inside that an "Includes" drawer. Load up the file called "Defaults.grg".
The line that says
#include "Includes\Docs.grg"
Change it to read
//#include "Includes\Docs.grg"
Notice the "//" at the beginning? This makes it a comment as far as Aura is concerned, then the Read Instruction panels will NOT come up!

Are you a Keyboard kinda person? Do you find it more useful to use the keyboard than the mouse, or perhaps to
make the best of both?
Did you know you can set a George script to work with a keyboard command?
First select the little HAT icon and that will bring up the George panel. Click on the first button and
then click the edit button. For this example, we will load the "Version.grg" script. Now you can run this
script by opening the George panel then double clicking the button or
Go to the "Edit" menu in Aura and select "Settings", then choose "keyboard". This will bring
up the keyboard panel, where you can assign almost every key on your keyboard. Not only does this work with
built in Aura commands, but the 10 George scripts you have in you George control panel. Say for example, we
wanted to run the "Version.grg" script whenever the'k' key was hit (we are using 'k' for example because it is unused, but it could
be any key). Hit the 'k' key on the keyboard, then find "George: Function 1" in the right side window. Now
click "Assign" and you are done. Now each time you hit the 'k' (must hit it twice to run, once just activates it)
, it will run that script.
FYI, the George functions are Already set up by default to the Function keys + Shift,
but no one seems to know this.
